A native of Rochester, Scott's practice focuses on business litigation, business law, construction litigation, creditor and debtor rights and bankruptcy litigation. He is the primary litigator for Dunlap's two bankruptcy trustees.
In addition, Scott handles secured transactions and debt collection issues. He represents banks, business and individuals in collecting, securing and restructuring debt. He also helps debtors restructure and reorganize their debts to attain a fresh financial start.
Scott also handles cases involving complex litigation in the areas of products liability, construction law, FDCPA/FCRA, insurance law and professional liability.
Scott is certified as a "qualified neutral" under Minnesota Rule 114, meaning he is certified to facilitate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a mediator or arbitrator.
Scott has authored articles including: State Collection Issues, The Ins and Outs of Check Collection, and A 50 State Survey of Mechanic's Liens.
In addition, Scott serves on the Board of Directors for Rochester Civic Music.
