Doug has been practicing law with Dunlap Seeger since 1983 after serving in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps for almost three years. He is an accomplished trial lawyer with over 165 cases tried to conclusion including personal injury actions, land disputes, property and construction claims and contract and business matters. Doug is certified by the Bar Association of the State of Minnesota as a Civil Trial specialist and has also served multiple times as an arbitrator and a mediator.
Doug is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law, Juris Doctor, and a graduate Concordia College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, with majors in history-political science and internal relations. He is also a member of the Concordia College Athletic Sports Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and currently serves on the board of the History Center of Olmsted County. Doug has also served as board member and president of Olmsted County Developmental Achievement Center, Kiwanis Club of Rochester, Samaritan Bethany Inc, Greater Rochester Area Universities and Colleges and Bethel Lutheran Church.
In his spare time, Doug enjoys watching and participating in sports activities including basketball, football and golf, hiking, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
