Kendall J. Salter
Born and raised in Southern California, Kendall joined Dunlap & Seeger as an attorney in the summer of 2018. As a new associate, Kendall serves as a general practice attorney, while focusing much of his work in real estate. He also works with trademarks. Kendall believes that the firm provides a collaborative environment in which a team of skilled attorneys works to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Kendall earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. Before entering law school, Kendall earned a Master’s degree in journalism from Boston University and worked as an award-winning reporter in Boston, New Hampshire and South Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a degree in history.
Kendall has volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and served on the University of Iowa College of Law’s Moot Court Board and The Journal of Corporation Law editorial board. In law school, he spent a summer working with Justice Thomas Waterman of the Iowa Supreme Court, and another summer at a law firm in Beijing, China. His student note, The Trouble with Tags: Seeking Mark Protection for Corporate Branded Hashtags, was published in the Spring, 2018 volume of The Journal of Corporation Law.
He looks forward to living and working in Rochester and Southeastern Minnesota. He is an avid reader and writer, an accomplished vocal musician and a passionate sports fan. He also enjoys classical music and the theater.
