Leia Bates brings a fresh perspective to Dunlap Seegar with experience in the practice areas of trust and estate planning as well as real estate. For real estate, she focuses on drafting commercial purchase agreements, leases and residential deeds.
In 2018, Leia received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where she majored in Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent development. She went on to graduate from Texas Tech University Law School in 2021. While at Texas Tech, Leia was an editor on the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal where she received the Outstanding Second Year Editor Award and the Top Articles Editor Award. She also participated in the Family Law and Housing Clinic representing clients in cases involving divorce, custody and residential real estate matters.
Leia volunteered in a number of ways at law school as a member of the Student Pro Bono board and as the Community Service Executive of the Hispanic Law Students Association Board.
She enjoys traveling, running, lifting and spending time with her family and dog.
