Melissa has been an attorney for 15 years with Dunlap Seeger. Prior, she was a clerk in the Winona County District Court. Her practice is focused on estate planning, trust and probate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, elder law, tax planning and special and supplemental needs trust.
Melissa is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, Juris Doctor, and a graduate of Carleton College with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. She currently serves as president of the Rochester Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Women Attorneys of Rochester. She volunteers for the Carleton College Alumni Annual Fund and is secretary for Families First of Southern Minnesota. Previously she was a board member and treasurer for Olmsted County Bar Association, board member, vice president and president for Honors Choirs of SE Minnesota and board member, treasurer, vice president and president of Samaritan Bethany, Inc. She is an author and speaker for Minnesota CLE and National Business Institute including Saunders, Stonelake-Hopkins and Volkmar, “Ethics and Client Relationships in Estate Planning.”
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and exercising.
