Today, Governor Walz announced that, beginning June 10, Minnesota will enter Phase III of the Stay Safe MN plan. The Stay Safe MN plan may be found here.
On June 10, Minnesotans will be able to dine indoors. Restaurants and bars may open to 50 percent capacity, capped at 250 total. Masks will remain required for workers and encouraged for patrons. Reservations remain required.
Retail remains capped at 50 percent capacity on June 10. But salons, tattoo parlors, and barbershops may increase from 25 percent to 50 percent capacity. Similarly, places of worship, as well as swimming pools, may open at 50 percent capacity.
“Indoor events and entertainment”-for example, movie theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, and museums-may open at only 25 percent capacity. Fitness centers are similarly capped at 25 percent capacity. Outdoor gatherings in “social settings” may not exceed 25 individuals total. Indoor gatherings in social settings may not exceed 10.
Phase III also requires that critical-sector businesses develop and implement a Preparedness Plan by June 29. Telework is still required if possible. More guidance is expected by June 15.
