John has over 16 years of experience practicing law and serves as general counsel to a wide variety of small and closely held businesses as well as real estate investors and developers. John also provides counsel to real estate agents, renewable energy developers, community banks, title companies, restaurant operators, manufacturing companies, franchised businesses, financial advisors, insurance agents, consulting, start up and healthcare businesses.

John is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law, cum laude, Juris Doctor and was senior editor of “Law Review”. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. John serves as president of the Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc., vice president of the Rochester Golf & Country Club, policy chair for Rochester Downtown Alliance, director for the National Eagle Center, director for the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester and is a member of the Merchants Bank Advisory Board. He is the former director of Channel One Regional Food Bank, Bear Creek Services, Lourdes Foundation, Rochester Senior Center and the Rochester Symphony. John is proficient in Spanish.

In his spare time, John enjoys traveling to new places with family and friends, fishing, golfing, skiing and is a supporter of local restaurants.
