Bill helps businesses with a wide range of legal issues affecting their operations, including transfers of controlling interests to family members or third parties. He helps families with disabled children, parents, or grandparents through guardianships and conservatorships to enhance their financial, physical and emotional well-being. He also helps to protect a disabled family member's access to medical assistance (Medicaid) through supplemental needs trusts and special needs trusts.
Bill has chaired the Greater Rochester Rotary Club, Rochester Public Library, Rochester Estate Planning Council and Olmsted County Social Services Advisory Board (OCSSAB). He has also served as a board member for the Rochester Committee on Urban Environment, Olmsted County Historical Society and the Rochester Area Family Y. Bill is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics for ARC Southeastern Minnesota and Community Education for Rochester and Stewartville Public Schools.
