William P. Volkmar

Bill has been an attorney in the Rochester community since 1979 and has built a practice with expertise in estate planning and estate administration matters for individuals and families including decedents and the disability community. He provides an accounting and tax background and an advocacy perspective for the needs of families and their concerns for family members with challenges, such as immaturity, disability and access to opportunities.

Bill is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctor, and a graduate of Yankton College with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in political science, business administration and pre-law. He is active with The Arc Minnesota and is a community education teacher for Rochester, Byron and Stewartville public schools. During his career, Bill has volunteered his time on various boards, including the Rochester Public Library, City of Rochester Committee on Urban Design and Environment, Olmsted County Social Services Advisory Board and the Greater Rochester Rotary Club.

In his spare time, Bill enjoys biking and walking around the trails in Rochester and Olmsted County, as well as gardening and woodworking.
